General
What is My cashback and how does it work?
My cashback is another simple way for My NRMA members to be rewarded more often.
All you have to do is link your Visa or MasterCard via the cashback tab in the My NRMA app. Then, whenever you shop online using the app or in store with one of our growing list of cashback partners, you can earn a percentage of your purchase as cash back.
After you earn at least $10 cashback, you can withdraw it to your linked bank account, or donate it to one of our charity partners.
How do I sign up?
You must become a My NRMA member and link a card to start earning cashback. You can become a My NRMA member here.
If you’re already a member, watch the How to set up My Cashback video to help you get started.
This seems too good to be true. What's the catch?
There is no catch – My cashback is free for My NRMA members. Our cashback partners pay a commission for each transaction made through the My cashback program, and we pass the majority of this along as cash to our members.
The NRMA is a mutual. Any revenue made by the NRMA as a result of My cashback is invested back into products and services to provide more value to all our members.
How do I find cashback offers on the app?
Shopping My cashback offers in the My NRMA app is pretty simple, and there’s more than one way to do it. So, we’ve made a video to show you three easy ways you can find cashback offers in the app, whether you like to search by brand or just want to find some in store offers near you, we’ll show you how. Watch this video to find out more.
What happens with my credit/debit card data?
We do not store your credit/debit card details. Your card provider securely communicates with our partners, which allows us to reward you.
How is My cashback different to other cashback programs?
We’ve made getting cashback as simple as possible, all you have to do is link your card in the My NRMA app. That’s it. And whenever you shop in store with one of our cashback partners, you’ll automatically receive cashback on your purchase. Plus, you can also shop online via the My NRMA app, no websites or extra plugins required. There’s also no need for coupons or codes. You shop, we’ll get you cashback. It’s that easy.
Is there a limit on how much cashback I can earn?
No, there’s no limit on how much cashback you can earn, but your cashback balance must remain under $500. If your balance is close to the $500 limit, we’ll let you know it’s time to withdraw it.
Does My cashback balance ever expire?
If there are no purchases on your cashback account after 18 months, your cashback account will be suspended and the available balance will expire. But don’t worry, we’ll let you know if your account is at risk of becoming inactive.
Cashback transactions
How can I find all cashback offers?
You can find all cashback offers in the benefits section of the My NRMA app. The handy map feature in the app allows you to find benefits and cashback offers based on your location. Watch the How to find cashback offers video for more detailed instructions.
Can I use other cashback offers or discounts with My cashback?
You may be able to receive cashback with other offers from our cashback partners, subject to their promotional terms and conditions.
If your card is registered with another cashback program and both programs have offers with the same retailer, we can’t guarantee the cashback you receive from that retailer will be based on the offer they have with us. This is because the retailer will only honour one or the other cashback program.
How do I know I earned cashback on my transaction?
After you make an eligible cashback transaction, you will receive a notification in the My NRMA app to let you know we are tracking it to give you cash back.
It will also appear as pending in your cashback transactions under your account profile. If you do not receive a notification in 5 days, please see the cashback offer details in the My NRMA app and confirm you used a linked card to make a purchase before you escalate this to us.
After you have confirmed these details, please complete the member feedback form so we can investigate this on your behalf.
How do I view all my cashback transactions?
You can view your cashback transactions via the My NRMA app. Tap on Profile at the top, then Cashback and head to the account management page. You’ll see the available transactions and a button called “transactions” directly underneath.
What is the minimum amount I can withdraw?
You must withdraw a minimum of $10 from your available cashback balance.
What does available balance, pending transaction and cancelled transaction mean?
Available balance is the cashback amount you are eligible to withdraw. After you reach at least $10 in available balance, you can withdraw your cashback to your nominated bank account or donate it to one of our charity partners.
Pending transactions means your purchase is still within the returns or cancellation period as specified by the retailer. If you don’t return your items or cancel your order during this period, your cashback will appear in your available balance.
Cancelled transactions appear if you have returned items to the store or cancelled an order.
What if I accidentally use an unlinked card? Can I still get cashback?
Unfortunately, the transaction won’t be recognised by the retailer to link to your My cashback account unless you use a linked card.
What happens if I return an item that was part of a cashback transaction?
The value of cashback earned on any returned items will be removed from the pending cashback balance.
I want to dispute a missing cashback transaction, who can I speak to?
You can lodge a dispute using our feedback form. Before you do that, double check that none of the below applies to your transaction:
- You used a card that isn’t linked to your cashback account to make a purchase.
- The retailer you shopped with is not a My cashback partner.
- You shopped via the retailer’s website instead of the My NRMA app.
- Your card is linked to another cashback program that also has an offer with the retailer. In this scenario, we cannot guarantee our cashback offer will be applied.
- The transaction is appearing as pending in your cashback account because you are still within the returns period for that retailer.
Managing my account
How many cards can I link to My cashback? Can I link any card?

I want to cancel my membership, do I lose my cashback?
