The park
Just because the resort is close to the city doesn’t mean it can’t be a holiday. An in park boat ramp opens the waterways to your boating pleasure, while the water park and playground will keep kids entertained no matter the time of year. During the summer holidays, activities are tailored to delight and occupy little ones, and in the past have included hypnotist shows, live music, an outdoor movie theatre, face painting and animal farms. The park is also the ideal destination for your next team building event, school, sport or special event group, boasting a range of self contained group accommodation and conference facilities.
The accommodation
The park’s multi award winning status is thanks to its range of affordable cabins and campsites, which are all based around clean, modern and well maintained amenities. From the luxury Lakeview Villa, complete with its own verandah and barbecue, to unpowered smaller sites ideal for a cosy couple getaway, this park has it all. Choose from two, four, five or six berth cabins and studios with comfortable bathrooms and kitchens or, if you’re kitted out with your own gear, there are a number of powered, unpowered and ensuite sites that can happily cater to your tent set up, caravan or motorhome.
The neighbourhood
Narrabeen divides the lower northern beaches from the upper – flanked on the southern end by Collaroy and on the northern by bustling Mona Vale – offering a natural geographical divide via its beautiful lakes. Narrabeen itself is a tidy village full of fantastic cafes and boutiques – drop by Oceans for a hit of the local hospitality. The Bicentennial Coastal Walk from Narrabeen Beach to Warriewood Beach is a spectacular meander along this stretch of Sydney coast, and you’ll be quick to spot more than a few fishermen looking to score the next big catch. This part of the world boasts some of Australia’s best ocean pools, so if the weather permits, definitely take a dip. Further north is Palm Beach, which you may know better as Summer Bay, so this famous stretch of sand is where you might even spot Home & Away stars being filmed. For a ritzy dinner in this neck of the woods, you can’t go past hatted Jonah’s: incredible views and service, surpassed only by its incredible seasonal, seafood focused menu.
