How much does it cost to hire a car in the Gold Coast?
Gold Coast car hire is determined by various factors including:
- Vehicle type
- Length of hire

Hiring a car during peak periods such as school holidays, public holidays or during December and February can see higher fees and increased demand. Can I pick up and drop off my car out of hours?
Gold Coast Airport Coolangatta car rental is open 8am to 7pm Monday to Sunday and offers 24-hour return. If you are returning your vehicle outside opening hours, simply park the vehicle in any available SIXT car park spot and drop the key into the after-hours return slot at the SIXT counter.
Is Gold Coast Airport and Coolangatta Airport the same place?
Yes they are the same airport. Gold Coast Airport was formerly known as Coolangatta Airport. It is the main airport in the Gold Coast, just 30 minutes from Surfers Paradise.
