We’ve always worked closely with government in our lobbying and advocacy efforts. And now we’re happy to announce our partnership with Service NSW, the first of its kind between a mutual organisation and government department.
Service NSW exists to give members of the public and businesses access to crucial government services including drivers licences, vehicle registrations, births, deaths and marriages registry, Opal cards and Fair Trading Licences. So they’re a perfect fit to provide some of our products and services to even more Australians.
Right now, our Free2go Membership is available for drivers aged 16-20 at Service NSW. That means, young drivers who get their licence are able to sign up for a roadside assistance Membership at the same time. The beauty of Free2go Membership is it covers the individual driver, not the car. So, no matter what car they’re in, young drivers can be covered in the event of a breakdown. Plus, the first 2 years are free if they join at 16, or the first year for drivers 17-20.
On top of Free2go Memberships, you’ll also be able to purchase an International Driving Permit (IDP) at Service NSW in Wynyard. An IDP will come in handy if you’re planning on driving overseas. It’s a United Nations sanctioned document that’s translated into 9 different languages, and acts as an additional form of ID. It’s also recognised in over 150 countries, so you’ll have peace of mind while travelling that you have the correct documentation for any situation you might find yourself in.
Free2go and IDP’s are just the beginning of this new partnership. We’re hoping in the future we’ll be able to provide even more products through Service NSW and bring more convenience to communities across NSW, so keep an eye out.
