NRMA Parks & Resorts continues on its strategy of growing its nationwide stable of holiday parks with the acquisition today of the picturesque Woodgate Beach Tourist Park in Queensland, located 40 minutes from Bundaberg.

Woodgate Beach Tourist Park is nestled between the white sands of Woodgate Beach and a national park. It offers holidaymakers 140 powered sites for caravans and tents and 20 cabins, along with a popular beachfront café.

The beach is protected by Fraser Island and offers all-year-round swimming.

Following its acquisition of Australian Tourist Park Management this year, NRMA Parks & Resorts has grown to become Australia’s second largest investor in holiday parks. Its acquisition of Woodgate Beach Tourist Park takes its stable of owned and managed parks to 38 nationwide.

The Tourist Park is popular with grey nomads and young families looking to enjoy an affordable beachside holiday, while surrounded by some of Australia’s most iconic flora and fauna.

NRMA Parks & Resorts CEO Paul Davies said the Woodgate Beach Tourist Park was one of Australia’s hidden treasures located along some of the country’s most remarkable beachfront.

“The NRMA’s strategy of investing in Australia’s domestic tourism industry is best encapsulated by this acquisition – we want to open this great county up to as many families and holidaymakers as possible because Australia is full of hidden treasures just like Woodgate Beach,” Mr Davies said.

“The park’s unique position makes it one of the most popular destinations on the Fraser Coast and its location alongside the small Woodgate beachside community is ideal for families or couples wanting to unwind and relax.

“The NRMA is committed to investing in these local communities and we know that for every dollar spent at holiday parks like Woodgate Beach, $1.38 is invested in the local economy by visitors to the park.”

Today’s announcement by NRMA Parks & Resorts follows its purchase last week of the Bathurst Panorama Holiday Park in NSW. The organisation is looking to expand its stable of nationwide parks further.

This acquisition will enable NRMA Members to receive a 10 per cent discount when staying at Woodgate Beach Tourist Park. Conditions apply, check website for details.
