NRMA has announced today it will sponsor the 400 volunteers working at the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show, commencing at Sydney Showground 6 April.
The NRMA partnership with the Sydney Royal Easter Show is now in its third year and NRMA's support will help fund volunteer uniforms and training.
In addition to the volunteer sponsorship the NRMA will be present over the two week period of the Show with a Member stand in the Home, Garden and Lifestyle Pavilion (Hall 2).
NRMA's Regional Director Fiona Simson said the Sydney Royal Easter Show wouldn't function without the commitment of hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
"The Royal Easter is more than a great day out for the family, it celebrates the communities of regional NSW and the amazing local produce from these regions," Ms Simson said.
"It is a major drawcard for Sydneysiders during the school holidays. The Royal Easter show is a great way to sample the best our regional communities have to offer before getting out and seeing these destinations for yourself.
"Without these volunteers the Royal Easter Show could come to a standstill and as an organisation committed to keeping people moving, this partnership makes sense.
"The NRMA is pleased to be backing the RAS volunteers for a third year in a row. The Sydney Royal Easter Show is a big attraction for many of our Members, so we are more than pleased to be part of the Show again this year."
General Manager Agriculture and the Sydney Royal Easter Show Murray Wilton acknowledged the NRMA's important contribution.
"Our volunteers are the heart and soul of what makes the Sydney Royal Easter Show a "must do" experience each year and the NRMA's support is greatly appreciated," Mr Wilton said.
"Like the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the NRMA is a NSW institution and it is a very good fit," Mr Wilton said.
