For many of us NSW and ACT residents in lockdown, it can all feel a bit like groundhog day. To help you enjoy the time at home, we have a few ideas to keep you inspired, lend a hand to the community and have some fun with family and friends.
Think local and support small business
One of the best ways to feel good is to give back! Many small businesses are doing it tough, so now's the time to do our part and go a little further to extend our support to those businesses who have had to close normal operations.
Here are some ways you can help:
- Many holiday providers will provide up to 12 months credit, so you can postpone your getaway instead of cancelling if your plans have been affected by restrictions. Keeping your booking will give these local businesses some certainty, and some much needed holiday time to look forward to again.
- Give yourself the night off from cooking? Get your dinner delivered by a favourite local restaurant.
- Purchase direct! Whether it be a grazing board, sweet treats, candles or using operators such as buy from the bush.
- Bring the experience to you – activities can be brought directly you to such as pottery or painting.
It’s important to help and give these small businesses a chance to bounce back. What are some ways you help support small businesses? Let us know on Facebook.
