Renew on time promotion wave 7 terms and conditions

General

1. Information on how to enter the Renew on Time Promotion (Promotion) and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.

2. By participating in the Promotion you will be deemed to have: (a) accepted these terms and conditions; and (b) expressly consented to our use of your personal information under the Privacy Act, Spam Act and other related communication and legislation for marketing and other NRMA business purposes.

3. The promoter is National Roads and Motorists’ Association Limited ABN 77 000 010 506 of 9 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, 2127 (Promoter or NRMA).

4. The Promotion commences at 9:00 am (AEST) on Thursday 20 December 2018 and entries close at 11:59 pm (AEST) on Tuesday 30 April 2019 (Promotional Period).

Definitions

5. For the purposes of these terms and conditions:

a) “NRMA Subscription Product” means any of the following NRMA products eligible to be renewed onto a Monthly Payment Plan: Classic Care, Premium Care, Premium Plus and NRMA Blue.
b) “Renew On Time” means an entrant renewing and paying for their NRMA Subscription Product on or before the due date for renewal stated on the relevant entrant’s renewal notice (which will be sent out up to 42 days prior to the renewal date).
c) “Monthly Payment Plan” definitions and terms and conditions can be found on the NRMA website at https://www.mynrma.com.au/general-conditions#directdebit

How to Enter

6. To enter this Promotion, an entrant must, during the Promotional Period, hold and renew on time any paid NRMA Subscription Product that is due between 1 February 2019 and 30 April 2019 (Eligible Entry).

7. The entrant must also either already be on a monthly payment plan for the eligible subscription product or if the entrant opts in to a monthly payment plan for the subscription product when they renew, the entrant will receive a bonus entry.

8. Please note that a valid email address to contact the Member must be provided to switch to monthly payments, if one has not been provided already.

9. An Eligible Entrant (defined below) may only make up to two Eligible Entries per NRMA Subscription Product and but is eligible to win a maximum of one Prize (defined below).

10. This is a game of chance and skill plays no part. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into with entrants.

11. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

Eligibility

12. To be eligible to enter this Promotion, an entrant must, during the Promotional Period:

a) be a natural person (and not be a company, business, trust or organisation of any description);
b) be a NSW or ACT resident with a NSW or ACT residential address;
c) be aged 18 years or over;
d) not be an employee of the Promoter and its Related Bodies Corporate (as this term is defined in the Corporations Act), or an immediate family member of the same;
e) be a Member of NRMA who has not opted out of receiving NRMA promotional communications; and
f) hold and Renew On Time, on a Monthly Payment Plan, an NRMA Subscription Product,
(Eligible Entrant).

13. To protect the integrity of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to verify, at any time (including after the closing of the Promotion) the validity of all entries (whether Eligible Entries and Eligible Entrants or not) (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits invalid, incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries or tampers with the entry process or uses any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means to submit repeated entries.

Draws and Prizes

14. The draw will take place at the premises of the Promoter being 9 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127 between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm (AEST) on Friday 10 May 2019.

15. There are ten (10) Prizes to be given away in total.

16. From the total number of entries received, the ten randomly drawn Eligible Entrants (Winners) will each receive their choice of one ‘NRMA Blue package’ valued up to $1,000 that can be used for one of the Member benefits partner prizes as listed below; (Prize). The details of each NRMA Blue Package Prize are set out below.

17. The total value of the Prizes is $10,000.

18. The Prize values are correct at the time of printing and the Promoter accepts no responsibility for any subsequent variation in the Prize value.

19. The Prize is not exchangeable, transferrable or redeemable for cash.

20. The Prize is valid for up to as many customers as the Prize value allows.

21. Any unused credit on the Prize cannot be redeemed for cash.

22. The Winner must choose which Member benefits partner prize they wish to redeem from http://www.mynrma.com.au/renewmonthlytowin within 30 days of being informed they have won the Promotion.

23. If the Prize (or part of the Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or part of the Prize) with a prize of equal value or specification, subject to any written directions given by the appropriate State or Territory Lottery Departments. No responsibility or liability is accepted for any variation in the value of the Prize. The Prize value is in Australian dollars.

24. The Winner will be notified by email or phone call by Wednesday 15 May 2019 and the Winner’s name will be published on www.mynrnma.com.au. Only the Winner will receive written notification via email or verbal notification via phone call. If the Winner cannot be reached within 3 weeks at the email address or telephone number provided on their Eligible Entry, the Winner will be disqualified and the Prize made eligible for redraw under clause 29.

25. If for any reason a Winner does not take the Prize (or an element of a prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, or chooses not to participate in the Promotion or claim the Prize, then the Prize (or element thereof), will be forfeited.

26. The draw for any unclaimed of forfeited Prize will take place at the premises of the Promoter being 9 Murray Rose Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127, between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm (AEST) on Thursday 30 May 2019., subject to any directions from a regulatory authority, and a subsequent winner will receive an email or phone call by Tuesday 4 June 2019 and have their name published on www.mynrma.com.au.

NRMA Blue Package Prize details

Each of the 10 Winners will be entitled to choose one of the Prizes described in sections 25, 26, 27 or 28.

27. One $1,000 Caltex StarCash Gift card:
Caltex StarCash Digital can be used to buy fuel as well as selected in-store items at over 1,200 locations across Australia. To check for a participating site, visit the Caltex site locator on caltex.com.au and use the ‘StarCash Digital’ filter within ‘Services’. Caltex StarCash Digital is valid for 3 years from date of issue. Any balance that remains after expiry will not be available for use. Caltex will not replace expired Caltex StarCash. If Caltex StarCash is lost or stolen, the Customer must immediately notify Caltex on 1300 365 096. No cash out facilities are available with Caltex StarCash and it is not redeemable for cash. Caltex StarCash cannot be used to purchase gift cards, prepaid or post-paid phone or internet vouchers, transport tickets, mobile phones and accessories, Tolls payments, or lottery tickets.

28. One $1,000 NRMA Parks & Resorts accommodation voucher:
The voucher can be used at any of the parks and resorts listed at www.nrmaparksandresorts.com.au. The voucher can be used on multiple stays at multiple parks. No further discount or specials apply and cannot be combined with any other offer or discount. This prize must be redeemed within 12 months of issue date during low or mid-season (season calendars are available on park websites) and is subject to availability. Black-out dates apply. If for any reason the winner does not use the prize before its expiry, the prize will not be redeemable for cash and will be forfeited.

29. Ten $100 EVENT cinemas eGift cards:
Only valid for use at Event, Greater Union, GU Film House or BCC Cinemas. Movie Gift Cards are not available for use at Village Cinemas. Movie Gift Cards are not available for use in Victoria or Tasmania. Gift cards are valid to the date indicated or until a $0 balance is reached, whichever occurs first. Movie Gift Cards can be used for admission, or for food & beverage items available from the Candybar, Scoop Alley, Set Cafe or Gold Class Bar; or online at eventcinemas.com.au. We cannot replace or refund lost or stolen Movie Gift Cards. Treat the card like cash and keep it in a safe place. Movie Gift Cards cannot be reloaded with any additional dollar value and the validity date cannot be extended. Design choice for your gift card is subject to availability and may change without prior notice. If your purchase is more than the current credit amount available on your gift card, you can make up the full amount with another type of tender accepted in our cinemas. Every time the card is used at the cinema, a receipt stating the remaining balance may be requested. In these circumstances Event, Greater Union and BCC Cinemas may either provide a refund or a replacement Movie Gift Card of equivalent value unless it reasonably suspects fraud in relation to a Movie Gift Card. Event cinemas reserves the right to change any terms contained in these Terms & Conditions at any time.

30. One $1,000 ExperienceOZ voucher:
ExperienceOz voucher code is for the amount of $1,000AUD. The voucher code will be awarded to the winner within 2 days of claiming prize and is valid for 12 months from the date the code was provided by The Promoter (NRMA). The voucher code must be applied at the time of booking to be redeemed. Voucher code is non-transferable to another individual and is to be used by the prize winner only. The Promoter takes no responsibility if the code is somehow shared and used by another person and will not reimburse the credit. The voucher code should be treated like cash or a credit card. The voucher code is non transferrable for cash. No credit or change will be given on the unused portion of the voucher after the time of expiry. Voucher codes are not replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed. The voucher can be used to redeem 15% discount on all purchases with the exception of Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Dreamworld and BridgeClimb Sydney where the discount may vary.

31. The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards as detailed in the Promoter's Privacy Policy, which is available at www.mynrma.com.au. Personal information will only be used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Promoter will also endeavour to provide you with an option to opt out of receipt of such communications. You should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter.

33. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use your personal information (such as name, age, membership number and image, mobile phone number, email address) and any other information provided to the Promoter pursuant to this Promotion without remuneration or compensation to you for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning you and promoting the NRMA, its business and related companies.

Limitation of Liability

34. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as part of the Promotion. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss (including indirect and consequential loss) suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the Prize Winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the Prize Winner. This clause does not affect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under Australian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the Prize supplied again.

35. Subject to the approval of the relevant State and Territory Lottery Departments, the Promoter may:

a) modify or suspend the Promotion if all entrants participating in the competition until that point are notified of the changes to these Conditions of Entry, upon notification of any such changes, the affected entrants may terminate their participation in the competition without any liability to the entrant; or
b) terminate or cancel the Promotion.
The Promoter will not be liable for any modification, suspension, termination or cancellation.

36. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
